Well what do we have here
It seems The Philosateleian is getting a tiny bit of notice. Given the overall tone of the entry, I'd say it's a more or less positive reference--and it's free publicity, not a bad thing considering I have no revenue with which to pay to advertise my product for which I do not charge!
Also of note: the USPS has unveiled its 2008 stamp designs, and an issue slated for an August release features an Albert Bierstadt painting, "Valley of the Yosemite." It should fit in nicely with my other landscapes. Interestingly enough, it'll be the second stamp in three years to feature Yosemite--in 2006 the USPS issued an 84¢ international rate stamp that I personally thought was the best design of the year.

What would I do with $825,000?
Not this, that's for sure. I mean, if you've got it to spend that's great, but whatever. I'd probably buy a very small house and put the rest away for a rainy day. What would you do with $825,000?
As long as I'm talking money, I saved a grand total of 7¢ by buying my gas a little closer than usual to the Interstate this evening. I didn't know I'd saved 7¢ until I got to my normal fueling-up spot, but hey, every penny counts.
Spent last weekend chilling with my family at Jekyll Island. It's kind of nice getting in on the company holiday thing! I've only been back in Jacksonville for about 48 hours, but it seems a lot longer than that.
And backing up to the subject of stamps, the Winter 2007 Supplement for The Philosateleian is now available. It's later than normal because I had quite a time trying to find the 2008 Scott catalogue. It arrived last Friday. I've all but ceased buying stamps for my collection for the time being, new U.S. landscapes being the sole exception, so there are a few knowledge gaps that I'll have to wait to fill in.
And as far as Jekyll Island goes, I got some awesome sunset pictures while up there. May try to post those at some point but it's not happening this week! And perhaps not next, either--I'm already targeting Tuesday as a possible opportunity to work on a sermonette.

Brrrr
Cold this morning, temps down in the low 30's. High today isn't supposed to get much past 50. Around freezing or slightly below again tonight.
It's looking like a busy week regardless of what ends up on my platter at work. Laundry, haircut, getting my apartment lease worked out...probably not going to be a lot of spare time would be my guess.
Good news is I'm caught up on letters, part of a fairly productive Sunday. Also have listed the first of a number of covers I'm hoping to sell on my Web site. Whether or not I can convert them into cash, who knows. What is certain is that I can't collect everything!

On the mend I think
But physically I still feel just completely exhausted, almost like I'd spent the last couple of days pushing a push mower in 95 degree heat. I kind of like that tired feeling after I've really been working, but this is just plain icky. Have felt a lot better today than the last few, though. I made it to Sabbath services yesterday, but elected to pass on the extracurricular activities afterwards. Didn't really want to make it a long day and risk setting myself back, and I think the extra rest probably did me some good.
Today there was a work party to get things ready for next week's yard sale intended to raise funds to help prospective ABC students from the Jacksonville congregation pay their way. I thought it went fairly well, we were all done by 2 p.m. That was good as I still needed to buy groceries and then take care of some things here at the apartment. I cleaned the bathroom sink and toilet this afternoon, and it looks so much better in there now. Need to give the entire apartment a thorough cleaning, but I've not done a very good job of finding time to do that with amidst all the other things that have to be done.
And since I seem to very slowly be regaining a little bit of appetite, I'm going to eat dinner now. Goodnight.
